Denver Springs Review

Denver Springs is a recently established facility that offers adolescent and adult treatment services. Offerings include care for addiction, mental health and co-occurring disorders in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. Clients can expect state of the art treatment in spacious, comfortable surroundings. Programming integrates holistic modalities with evidence-based protocols, psychoeducation, recreational therapy and medication management. 

Accommodations and Food

The treatment facility can accommodate up to 96 clients who sleep in semi-private bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Clients sleep on full beds and are provided with a shelving unit and small nightstand. The campus contains lounges and common spaces, such as the community area with beverage stations, for clients to relax in between therapy. There are also private courtyards with small tables and seating areas, along with some outdoor designated smoking areas. 

In addition to client living spaces there are also group therapy rooms, a computer room, activity room and medical facilities. 

The cafeteria serves three healthy meals per day, and provides several options per meal times. Clients receive guidance from the staff dietitian for what they should eat in order to provide themselves with the highest level of nutrition. 

Snacks and drinks are set out throughout the day as well in the units. 

Treatment and Staff

Programming at this facility is individualized and offers a goal plan, medication management, and at the onset of treatment, a comprehensive discharge plan. Evidence-based therapies and combined with alternative, holistic approaches for a well rounded experience. These therapies include CBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused, and trauma- informed care. 

Clients establish a community within their groups and units. In order to provide the best treatment, clients are divided into specific track groups. There are programs that address mental health and addiction specifically, and a co-occurring disorder specific track. Clients attend several group sessions per day, and have one on one therapy as well. Group topics vary from relapse prevention, coping skills, triggers, day to day life skills, and more. 

In addition to integrative therapies, clients also work with targeted web based mediums during their program. Programs like Cognit, and the co-occurring disorder specific program, Good Days Ahead, are online management tools. These programs offer strength based solutions for empowerment, symptom management, stress management, and managing symptoms. 

Outpatient programming includes an adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and outpatient care for children and adolescents. 

Staff consists of Master’s-level LPCs, psychiatrists, CADCs, recreational therapists, and dietitians. 

Extras

Clients families are welcome to dine with clients for a weekend meal. The state of the art campus gym has several machines and mats set out for yoga. There is also pet therapy, music therapy and movement therapy. 

The alumni program meets Tuesday evenings every week.
