Integrated Behavioral Health Review

New Orleans based Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) offers adolescent and adult mental health care on an outpatient basis. In addition to individual and group therapy, IBH also offers medication management, telepsychiatry, and transcranial magnetic stimulation, which is one of the newest methods for treating chronic depression. IBH uses a holistic approach to create personalized treatment plans that address myriad mental health disorders. This is not limited to depression and anxiety, ADHD, autism, eating disorders, personality disorders, addiction, and trauma.

Treatment and Staff

Integrated Behavioral Health makes the initial assessment a bit easier by providing all the essential paperwork online for incoming clients. These forms gather information from the client about why they are seeking therapy. It also informs them about their guidelines, pay structure, privacy policy and client rights.

Staff at IBH are trained to treat a variety of disorders and customize their approaches depending on the client’s needs. At the first session clients and therapist discuss what needs to be addressed, and they are recommended a treatment plan. This usually entails individual or group therapy along with a medication management regimen.

Along with its standard protocols, IBH also offers TMS therapy. This method requires clients to receive treatment five times per week for four to six weeks. The sessions last anywhere between 19 and 40 minutes. TMS treatment is for a subset of clients who are still exhibiting symptoms of depression even after being medicated. IBH does a thorough assessment prior to administering this level of care.

The eclectic approach at this facility includes CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Interpersonal Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, mindfulness and relaxation.

The staff of IBH consists of psychiatrists and therapists. Therapy staff are Master’s-level clinicians who are LPC. The psychiatric team include Board certified medical professionals.

Extras

IBH performs forensic evaluations to assess fitness for duty, disability claims, emotional damage as it is related to injuries and accidents, and criminal proceedings.

Family and couples therapy is readily available.
