If necessary, staff can make referrals for medical evaluations and to other substance abuse facilities that offer greater supervision. The standard outpatient program requires nine to 20 hours a week of counseling, while the IOP requires 20 or more hours a week of therapeutic contact in group and/or individual counseling sessions. Clients attend groups before and after work or school, with groups running until 9 pm . There is no cap on how long a client can attend the IOP or outpatient.

Clients schedule individual therapy sessions with an assigned counselors. The frequency of the sessions depends on whether or not a client opts for outpatient or IOP. Staff provide follow-up care and in-home support services and assist family members with providing support for clients.

Therapeutic methods include auricular acupuncture, guided imagery and art therapy. Staff also encourage clients to explore off-site recovery support groups, including 12-step meetings and Celebrate Recovery.
