enclaveThe Basics

The Enclave is a transitional living facility for adult women located in Lake Worth, Florida. This privately owned facility is designed to help those who are coming out of long-term treatment and looking for a structured  community with 12-step support while adapting to a new way of life.

Accommodations and Amenities

The Enclave accommodates up to 22 residents at a time in a complex of three townhouses. Each unit has three master bedrooms that sleep three to four clients each, four double-occupancy rooms and private rooms for the remaining residents.

The master bedrooms have walk-in closets and private bathrooms while the other rooms share two large bathrooms per unit. All the houses are tastefully decorated, with spacious living rooms furnished with leather couches and flat-screen TVs. House computers and iPads are available to clients to use, all with high-speed Internet.

Each of the houses provides cleaning supplies, bedding and linens with the exception of towels. There is an on-site washer and dryer available for residents to use at any time.

The units are located in the center of Lake Worth, near the downtown strip with restaurants, shops and museums. Public transportation is available nearby, though clients are allowed to bring their own cars when they move into the house. Residents often arrange their own sober activities, which can include going out to dinner, shopping or a movie night.

The Enclave also offers a plethora of resources to assist clients in  adjusting to their new sober lives, such as job assistance and help finding meeting locations. The staff consists entirely of women, including a house manager who lives on-site and is available 24 hours a day to assist clients.

Rules and Regulations

All new clients must attend daily 12-step meetings and, upon moving in, must establish a home meeting location and get a sponsor. While residents actively work the steps, they must also find a full-time job or volunteer position within the community.

The Enclave expects a six-month commitment. During that time, clients must complete weekly chores assigned by house management, submit to weekly drug tests, keep the home and rooms clean, and attend all weekly administrative house meetings. Residents are allowed visitors at the facility with prior approval and smoking is allowed in designated areas outside the house.

Should clients wish to pursue treatment while at the Enclave, there are several local Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) that have a working relationship with the facility and staff can recommend.

Extras

Residents who decide to attend an IOP while living at The Enclave are eligible for a $100 discount off their weekly rent.

In Summary

The Enclave is a lovely facility in a beach community that gives women who are new to sobriety a supportive environment to heal and grow. By providing clients with the essentials for success and help easing them into their new lives, all residents are sure to leave the facility with renewed confidence.
