The Basics

Based in Plainfield, New Jersey on JFK Medical Center’s Muhlenberg campus, STEPS Recovery Center provides outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for substance abuse. Its individualized treatment plans reap the benefits of medical backing from its parent organization.

Treatment and Staff

After an initial intake and assessment, clients work with staff members to develop a treatment track that best suits their needs. Additional services include an Intoxicated Drivers Resource Center (IDRC) program for court-ordered DUI/DWI treatment, standalone counseling for mental heath and substance abuse assessments.

For aftercare, clients often continue attending group therapy at a stepped-down rate.
