Boston MassachusettsThe Basics

The Boston Comprehensive Treatment Center is an outpatient facility that offers Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) combined with traditional therapeutic methods for individuals who are addicted to opioids. Located in Boston, Massachusetts, Boston Comprehensive offers treatment for adults utilizing Subutex, Suboxone and methadone to treat their clients. All treatment approaches are individualized, including payment options and treatment planning.

As a member of the Acadia Healthcare network, Boston Comprehensive Treatment Center is just one of many behavioral health facilities providing chemical dependency and therapeutic support. With its headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, Acadia serves communities across the country and in the UK with inpatient, residential, outpatient and school-based treatment programs.

Treatment and Staff

Prior to beginning the detox process, clients must be assessed by the treatment team which includes a medical staff as well as the psychiatric team. The assessment determines which medication they will be placed on and determines the need for additional referrals for community resources. All clients are strongly encouraged to participate in therapeutic activities, though they are not required.

All clients are closely monitored to ensure the proper dosage is being administered and if any adjustments are needed. Therapeutic activities are facilitated by LADC and Master’s-level clinicians. Clients are also seen by doctors and a nursing staff for medication management and other health concerns that may or may not be affected by the medication.

Therapists use evidence-based practices in both group and individual therapy settings and clients attend treatment at the standard level of outpatient care, meeting one to two times per week for groups. Those who do not wish to attend groups are encouraged to find community-based 12-step meetings for support.

Extras

While Boston Comprehensive Treatment Center services are limited to MAT and basic outpatient care, counselors are knowledgeable of community resources that they may support clients in their recovery journey. Referrals for sober living facilities, more intensive treatment programs and meetings are given upon request.

In Summary

Boston Comprehensive Treatment Center offers MAT for individuals who are addicted to opioids. All clients are seen by a credentialed staff that includes medical professionals and are given individualized plans catering to their unique recovery needs. Medication is carefully administered and adjusted as needed depending upon each client’s progress, and both traditional therapy and the 12 steps are encouraged to support lasting sobriety.
