Toledo, Ohio’s Zepf Recovery Center offers psychiatric and co-occurring disorder treatment for adolescents and adults. Zepf Center is known for providing integrated, individualized treatment through evidence-based and holistic approaches. The adolescent programs treat those who are between the ages of two and 22. Adolescent services include psychiatric care, medication management, stabilization, and multi systemic therapy. 

Treatment and Staff

Zepf Center conducts an on-site diagnostic assessment that results in a recommendation to a program. There are several group sessions available. They address conflict resolution, life skills, and creating a healthy relationship with family members. Clients also receive psychoeducation in terms of triggers and symptoms. 

Staff coordinates care with each client’s primary physician and other providers to address their medical and social needs in addition to their mental health concerns. There is a wellness program that is folded into each client’s treatment plan that integrates narrative and recreational activities. This includes fitness, yoga, art therapy, circuit training and karate. 

MST is a program geared towards anti social youth. It runs between three and five months for both clients, their families and school, and is a community based. This program gives clients access to treatment and therapist 24 hours a day. 

The adolescent programs are overseen and operated by Master’s-level therapists who are LCSW and LPC. There are also psychiatrists and nurses. 

Extras

In addition to the standard therapeutic programs at Zepf, there are a number of specialized treatment plans available. These programs include a transitional program for clients 17 to 25 who need to learn independent living skills, job readiness and more. There is also a school based bullying prevention and education program called H.O.P.E. Project. 

Family participation is an essential part of the success of the adolescent program. There are also several services offered for family members of clients, including referral services, counseling and education.
