New Concepts Review

Ohio based New Concepts is an outpatient treatment facility for those having issues related to drug abuse and mental health. There are treatment programs that address behavioral health concerns and addiction for adults, as well as tracks for adolescents and young adults. The services are faith based and include an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), step-down standard outpatient care, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Treatment utilizes the 12 steps along with evidence-based protocols to provide an inclusive and caring atmosphere for healing.

Treatment and Staff

Several options are available once an individual begins treatment. During the initial assessment, the staff evaluates each person then provides an individualized treatment plan. These plans are strengths based and designed to meet clients where they are emotionally, physically and spiritually at the time of their admission.

At each level of care treatment includes a combination of services, such as individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, drug screening, community psychiatric support, and case management.

The addiction program offers an IOP and non IOP. The IOP is an 18 session track, three days a week for three hours per day. The non IOP can be the first step in treatment or considered a step- down for those who complete the IOP. Because some clients need medication to help with opiate cravings, at MAT track is accompanied with the IOP along with regular medical evaluations.

The mental healthcare program addresses issues like depression, anxiety, day to day coping, anger management, panic disorder, stress management and more. There are programs available to adolescent and adults, as well as assessment services performed by New Concepts to satisfy any court requirements set by the state of Ohio.

Additional treatment options at New Concepts includes a three day drivers intervention program for those who have been arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. There is also an education based program intended to teach the harmful effects of substance abuse. For clients who need a higher level of care, staff is able to provide referrals to agencies that offer inpatient and residential treatment programs.

New Concepts’ staff includes Master’s- and Doctorate-level clinicians, and part-time psychiatrists.
