Stone Valley Recovery Review
Stone Valley Recovery in Arizona offers upscale sober living options for men and women who have struggled with addiction and are new in recovery. The organization has three different, upscale housing options—two for men and one for women. Chuck Hungerford created the homes. He was an active member of the 12-step community. Above all, Stone Valley prides itself on providing a high level of structure, plenty of personalized attention and recovery oriented guidance to all its clients.
Accommodations and Amenities
The residences are referred to as Echo Lane, Bonita Way and Shea Blvd. The homes have four or five bedrooms in each that are semi private and fully furnished with full beds, night stands and dressers. The houses are all spacious and modern with a number of upscale amenities. Each location has multiple full bathrooms with stone accents and jacuzzi tubs, swimming pools, marble countertops in the kitchen, and crown moldings throughout. Added extras include panoramic views, balconies, brick and stone fireplaces and home gyms with cardio equipment and free weights.
The facilities provide easy access to recreational activities, shops, restaurants and public transportation.
Rules and Regulations
This sober living provides daily guidance and assistance in order to help clients to meet their goals. Every morning new residents have a check in meeting with the house manager. There are also weekly house meetings every resident has to attend, and one on one goal setting meetings with staff. Clients are required to attend 12-step meetings on a regular basis and have a sponsor that they correspond with frequently. In addition, clients have to participate in some fellowship events within the community.
There are also morning meditation sessions and house chores on a daily and weekly basis. Every client is responsible for keeping their personal spaces clean.
Staff assists in establishing an outpatient treatment program in the area, and maintain communication with family members during the initial stages of the program. A couple of weeks after moving into the program, clients either need to have a job or be going to school. The team also helps with putting together a resume, working on interviewing skills, finding local opportunities for work, and getting set up with classes.
Other program assistance includes help budgeting and financial skills, fixing credit and various life skills.
In Summary
SVR is a program that really aims to show clients what their potential is. Consequently, it provides a number of assistance services in that area. Clients live in nice and safe homes and regain their self confidence one day at a time. An added benefit is that the staff have all gone through the exact same thing that their clients are currently experiencing. As a result, they are able to show them there is a light at the end of the tunnel in recovery.
