Treatment and Staff
The team at Copper Sage Recovery is dedicated to providing individualized care that addresses an array of addictions and behavioral disorders. Clients stay in treatment between 30 and 90 days on average.
Clients check in at the facility and immediately go through a medical and psychological assessment. The personalized treatment plans include small group therapy sessions, life skills training, relapse prevention, experiential and adventure therapies. Clients have the choice in support meetings. As a result, in addition to AA and NA, they attend Refuge Recovery, SMART Recovery, ONE Voice, Addict to Athlete and FIT to Recover.
One of the cornerstones to success at Copper Sage is the hands on approach to treatment. The theory is that clients can face their challenges through experiences and come out the other side with a positive and empowering outlook. An example of this approach is clients going on snowshoe excursions or learning about survival education.
Clinicians utilize many different therapies. Some common methods are ACT, Interpersonal Therapy, CBT, DBT, Strengths Based Therapy, Play Therapy, EMDR, Narrative and Trauma Focused Care.

Clients go on social outings to museums, hiking and nature walks, movie nights, and shopping trips together frequently.
The equine therapy program takes place twice a week on site. Residents also participate yoga and group exercise classes. There are also some expressive therapeutic modalities utilized, such as music and art therapy.
