Treatment and Staff
If needed, there is a seven to 14 day detox at the Woking facility followed by the 28 day program. Monday through Saturday clients have pretty structured treatment days, with a little break on Sundays for visitation. The days begin with a reading and reflection period, and continue on with process groups, written assignments, relapse prevention and fellowship meetings. Individual therapy sessions happen at least once a week and there are daily holistic therapies and activities.
The integrative approach uses therapeutic protocols such as CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, EMDR, and interpersonal therapy. There are also psychoeducational workshops and classes. Treatment focuses on each client’s well being as a whole and offers, in addition to therapy, exercise and nutritional counseling and education.
Woking’s specialists include addiction therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, dietitians and peer support specialists.
Extras
In addition to the traditional, evidence-based approaches, clients experience a number of holistic treatments. There are relaxation groups, mindfulness, art therapy, music therapy, psychodrama, and self awareness workshops.
On site clients have access to tennis courts, personal trainers and massage. There are also yoga and pilates classes and daily meditation.
