The Basics
Oceanside Malibu is a small luxury treatment facility located in the rehab mecca of Malibu. The program consists of specialized treatment protocols for those dealing with the downfalls of addiction and co-occurring disorders. Offering introductory 12-step support combined with experiential and holistic therapies, clients learn how to live a joyful life in recovery while enjoying the sunshine and ocean breeze.
Accommodations and Food
The beachfront home where clients reside has six bedrooms, some of which are private, and seven bathrooms. The 5,000 square foot facility provides all the luxury and comfort that anyone could ask for including Tempurpedic mattresses with high thread count sheets in each bedroom and HDTV’s with fibre optic cable. The beautiful home is surrounded by four fully furnished decks that offer equally stunning views of the ocean. Added amenities include a massage chair, and video game consoles.
There is an in-house chef that prepares meals to order that are healthy and delicious. Oceanside Malibu is also able to accommodate specific dietary preferences, including vegan. In addition to the prepared meals, the facility provides unlimited snacks and drinks in the house kitchen.
Treatment and Staff
Treatment at Oceanside Malibu is individualized to suit each client’s needs. It caters to myriad addiction and behavioral issues. This can include eating disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD and bipolar disorder. Programming specializes in dual diagnosis support and customizes treatment to address these concerns.
Throughout the program, clients have several group and individual sessions that address relapse prevention, anger management and triggers. Clients meet with psychiatrists for medication management, and participate in self esteem building exercises like volunteering at homeless shelters and helping to find homes for stray animals.
Therapeutic protocols are CBT, DBT, EMDR, Family Systems and mindfulness approaches.
Experienced therapists and addiction specialists facilitate treatment. Their accreditations include LMFT, LPCC, CADC, MFTI and client advocates.
Extras
Residents participate in recreational outings to fish, hike, go to the beach, learn to surf and more. Additional therapies include equine therapy, salt water therapy, breathwork, music and art therapy.
Fitness is an essential component to treatment at Oceanside Malibu, and they provide transportation to a gym several times a week.
Family involvement is a high priority at this facility, and loved ones are always encouraged to join the clients in therapy, or partake over the phone or skype.

The amenities are absolutely luxurious without going over the top, and clients are able to relax and reconnect to themselves while being extremely comfortable.
