The Basics
Based out of Flanders, New Jersey, Cambridge Recovery Estates is a transitional living program for men in early recovery from addiction and related behavioral health disorders. Like many similar facilities, the organization provides a safe and stable environment that aims to help residents reintegrate into society and get them set up with jobs and further treatment as necessary.
Accommodations and Amenities
Though the organization has many affiliated sober living homes, the flagship facility is a standard home with a total of 10 beds in shared rooms. Each bedroom comes with two queen-sized beds, dressers, nightstands and basic decorations. In addition to the sleeping areas, the house also has common areas with TV and XBox, a dining room, on-site laundry, a game room with a pool table and a fully-equipped kitchen. Throughout their stay, all residents are expected to cook and prepare their own meals.
Rules and Regulations
While all programs are individualized, all participants can expect to attend regular group therapy sessions with basic talk therapy along with regular 12-step meetings. While the organization doesn’t offer clinical support on-site within the home, those in need of therapy or psychiatric support can be connected with providers in the area. Other groups cover topics including life skills, goal setting, resume building, preparation for college, job services and other related issues. While dual diagnosis support is not provided directly, those in need can get referrals as necessary.
The staff at Cambridge Recovery Estates consists of case managers, house managers, volunteers and additional counselors.
Extras
Throughout their stay, all clients are also granted Gold’s Gym memberships as part of their recovery package, along with transportation services. Family counseling services are also available along with flexible case management and wraparound aftercare planning as necessary.

Overall, Cambridge Recovery Estates is a well-rounded sober living organization for men. Like many similar programs, the services include individualized care planning, 12-step participation, job support, life skills training and basic counseling services as well. Although psychiatric help is not available directly through the organization, the facility does coordinate with nearby facilitators as necessary.
