Located in the scenic oceanside city of Malibu, California, Avalon Integrative Wellness is a treatment facility that specializes in the care of clients struggling with mental illnesses like depression, anxiety and trauma, as well as individuals with “surface” addictions like sex and love. Treatment and Staff

Avalon offers IOP and outpatient services ideal for clients that either cannot make the commitment to a residential program, or are transitioning from inpatient care back into regular life. With flexible scheduling offered five days a week, clients receive therapy while continuing to work or go to school.
Before beginning treatment, clients undergo a comprehensive assessment that helps the Avalon team determine the most effective personalized care strategy tailored to the specific needs of the person. With a mind-body-spirit philosophy, the facility employs a client-centered treatment approach to integrates an array of experiential therapies, wellness practices, psychiatric services as well as both individual and group sessions rooted in a range of evidence-based methods. Therapists are trained in an array of evidence-based therapeutic methods including CBT, DBT and EMDR to treat clients with trauma. The facility also offers a host of holistic therapies such as vitamin drips, mindfulness meditation, acupuncture, drama therapy, massage, yoga and cupping. Clients also engage in a regular psychoeducation classes that focus on body image, addiction and general wellness.
While the 12-step recovery model is not a component of the programming, medication management and psychiatric assessments are available.
The Avalon team consists of PhDs, MDs, psychiatrists, LSWs, Master’s-level therapists and specialists.

Avalon also offers a popular ancient Tibetan technique called south bath, where clients lay on the floor and let healing music wash over them.
