The Basics
Reflection Family Services is an outpatient counseling facility located in Tucson, Arizona. It provides a range of therapeutic services delivered along with community assistance to meet the varied needs of its clients. In addition to substance abuse treatment, Reflection provides domestic violence education and treatment, as well as DUI services for those who are court-ordered.
Treatment and Staff
Treatment services are adapted from a variety of established protocols. This includes CBT interactive journaling and participation in 12-step programs. The combination of these techniques contributes to effective and long-lasting treatment.
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) consists of individual and group therapy. Clients are required to attend two or three two-hour sessions a week, for several months. The exact length and intensity of treatment is determined after a mandatory evaluation at the time of intake. This evaluation will also determine whether the client needs detox. If they do, they will be referred to local medical facilities that are able to meet these needs.
The juvenile treatment programs include intervention, treatment and aftercare, with a focus on catering to juvenile probation cases. Young clients participate in 10 program sessions in three cycles—chemical dependency education and intervention, anger management and life skills training. The objectives of this program are to modify dysfunctional behavior, including impulse control, egocentric belief systems and how to think before acting. Adolescents are also taught to consider the effects of their behavior on others, including the victims of their crimes. The education component of this program covers addiction dynamics and processes, and teaches relapse prevention skills.
Reflection keeps group sizes for all treatment programs at or under 15 participants. The facility is open Mondays trough Fridays and two Saturdays a month from 9 am to 5 pm. A staff that includes CSACs and LCSWs facilitates both group and individual sessions. Intake coordinators and clinicians supervise evaluation and treatment plans.
Extras
The DUI program is licensed through the state of Arizona and meets all needs defined by the courts. Classes are available on-site Wednesday afternoons and Thursday evenings, and can be taken in however many sessions that are required.
