The Basics
Located in Los Angeles, California, Silicon Beach Outpatient Center serves men and women struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. A number of flexible outpatient treatment plans are available. Many clients come to Silicon Beach from local rehab programs and those who need a safe and sober place to stay can live in one of the Silicon Beach Sober Living facilities.
Treatment and Staff
Silicon Beach has two outpatient options. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) lasts 16 weeks and has clients meeting four times a week for three hours per session. Though the program relies mostly on group therapy, clients also go to individual therapy once a week; these sessions implement evidence-based practices, primarily CBT. The less intensive standard outpatient plan meets for 12 weeks, twice a week for three hours per session. Individual therapy occurs once a month.
In both programs, group sessions cover a range of topics including success strategies, relapse prevention, anger management and gender-specific issues. Clients with co-occurring disorders can see psychiatrists for medication management services. Individuals are encouraged to attend 12-step meetings in the community, but not required.
The staff at Silicon Beach consists of MDs, RNs, CSACs, MFTs, LMHCs, case managers and additional Master’s-level clinicians.
Extras
The aftercare program consists of weekly and monthly reviews with clients to address personal issues, share personal experience and provide suggestions for each other.

Overall, Silicon Beach Outpatient Center is a flexible, affordable option for clients coming out of residential rehab who are in need of additional treatment. Evidence-based therapy, life skills classes, optional 12-step support and case management all make for a well-rounded program and viable resource.
