The Basics
The Recovery Village is a treatment network headquartered in Florida, with additional locations across the country. The facility has a total of 64 beds available for clients in gender-separate buildings with hotel-style accommodations. The bedrooms are private and come with plush queen-sized beds, end tables with lamps, dressers and closet space. Each also comes with its own private bathroom.
The rest of the campus, as the name suggests, is set up like a small village with treatment buildings, common outdoor areas and plenty of trees and greenery. Other features include on-site laundry services, therapy rooms, lounge areas with cable TV and a cafeteria where the staff chefs work with nutritionists to provide residents three healthy and nutritious meals a day.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning a program, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment process to help clinicians develop their treatment plans. Those in need of detox services can do so on site. Though each plan may differ somewhat, each includes individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based treatment practices including CBT, DBT and EMDR. The program also includes 12-step integration and dual diagnosis support including medication management as necessary. Group sessions vary though they often discuss addiction as a disease, life skills, self-esteem building, anger management and relapse prevention strategies.
The staff at The Recovery Village Ridgefield consists of LMHCs, LPCs, RNs, MDs, psychologists, psychiatrists and additional Master’s and PhD-level counselors.
Extras
Other services include a built-in family program and a number of holistic therapy options including yoga and mindfulness training.
Those seeking less intensive care can also attend one of the outpatient programs, which can also be utilized as a step-down aftercare plan.
