The Basics
Based in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, Wellplace is a behavioral and mental health facility under the Pioneer Behavioral Health umbrella, a network of behavioral health facilities which have been providing services nationwide for over 25 years. Since September of 2006, Wellplace offers a variety of social services and programs, most of which focus on mental health and outpatient substance abuse treatment.
While it provides services to both adolescents and adults, Wellplace is particularly known for an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), especially to those in federally regulated industries.
Treatment and Staff
A general outpatient track and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) treatment at Wellplace are always individualized. All tracks include professional assessments, motivational counseling, self-care kits (which include journals and progress and goal-oriented charts), as well as unlimited follow-up and aftercare. Treatment combines individual and group therapy, educational classes and extensive family programming specific to addiction. Attendance at community 12-step meetings is highly encouraged.
The Wellplace staff includes therapists and counselors trained and certified in substance abuse who believe every client needs to actively participate in the process of developing and following through with their own treatment plan. Clients can also access co-occurring support, but detox is not available.
Extras
Wellplace offers programs for smoking cessation as well as dependent care services, on-site training and educational services, critical incident stress debriefings and online educational services and resources.
Additionally, there is a crisis call center as a core component of Wellplace’s Employee Assistance Program. It offers 24-hour toll-free lines, 365 days a year, allowing employees to reach experienced crisis counselors and clinical support professionals.
In Summary
Wellplace is a basic outpatient and IOP treatment center geared towards helping adults, adolescents and employees, especially those in government-regulated industries, with mental and behavior health needs at affordable prices. Only private insurance and self-pay are accepted at this time.
