The Basics
United Health and Behavioral Services in Atlanta, Georgia is an outpatient facility that provides comprehensive mental health and substance abuse treatment programs for adults with addiction or co-occurring disorders. Psychoeducation and relapse prevention techniques, along with coping skills, anger management and parenting classes are offered. There are also specialty group sessions for women who are pregnant or postpartum and for clients who were active military members and may be suffering from PTSD.
The is a multidisciplinary staff of addiction specialists that include LPCs, LCSWs, psychiatrists and nurses.
Extras
Clients are able to receive vocational training and placement services, along with social integration within their communities. There is also a family program that includes counseling and education, along with outreach and housing programs.
