The Basics
Temecula Tranquility Sober Living is a co-ed sober living house located in Temecula, a city in California 60 miles north of San Diego. Temecula is home to many tourist attractions, including an annual balloon jubilee as well as a film festival. Located on five acres of greenery replete with running streams and oak trees, Temecula Tranquility is home to a small number of residents who share a modern 5,000 square foot house.
Accommodations and Amenities
The octagonal structure accommodates 10 clients in five gender-specific bedrooms. There are three levels providing ample space and privacy. Potential clients have the option to view and book rooms online, like a hotel. The price depends on the size of bed and level of privacy desired. Amenities include cable TV, Internet access, an entertainment room with a large flat screen TV, computer with printer, air hockey, foosball table, a complete gym, extra refrigerators and a saltwater fish aquarium. Smoking is permitted outside only.
Clients are responsible for their own groceries and prepare meals in a fully equipped kitchen.
Rules and Regulations
At Temecula Tranquility Sober Living, there is no minimum or maximum time commitment, but turnover in this comfortable house is typically pretty slow. The clients have a 10 pm curfew Sundays through Thursdays and a midnight curfew on Fridays and Saturdays. While visitors are allowed, they can’t stay at the house overnight. Clients must sign in and sign out upon arrival and departure.
Weekly requirements include performing household chores, participating in a 12-step program, attending AA/NA meetings and work the steps. At Temecula Tranquility, clients are encouraged to seek employment, but the main priority is recovery. Random drug and alcohol screenings are required. There is a zero tolerance policy for clients testing positive and they will be asked to leave immediately.
Extras
The area surrounding the house is replete with hiking trails. Besides hiking, clients are open to a plethora of recreational activities including surfing and other outdoor sports.
