Aliquippa PennsylvaniaThe Basics

Suboxone Services of Beaver County is one of many substance abuse treatment facilities in the Pinnacle Treatment Centers network. With a broad network of clinics throughout the Midwest and the East Coast, PTC began in 2006 with four facilities in Pittsburgh and Johnstown, Pennsylvania and has since expanded to offer both outpatient and inpatient treatment in Indiana, Kentucky, Virginia, New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan and Minnesota. Suboxone Treatment Services of Beaver County is located in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, within the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, and provides Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) combined with general therapeutic services for adults.

Treatment and Staff

Before a client enrolls in treatment, they come in for an assessment with the intake staff to determine whether treatment with Suboxone is the best option. Those with co-occurring disorders may receive additional screenings and medication management services, though only if clients primarily struggle with chemical dependency. Upon enrollment, an individualized treatment plan is developed that allows for flexibility and enables clients to meet home and work obligations.

The treatment process begins with daily visits during the client’s detox phase. Medication is administered and monitored by the clinical and medical staff. Over time, clients decrease their attendance and are able to take their medication independently. Length of time spent on addiction medicine is unique for each client. Most clients will take Suboxone for a minimum of one month to prevent relapse.

Clients also attend group therapy and may schedule an individual session with their primary counselor. Clients are also encouraged to attend 12-step meetings in the community to help further develop their support network, spiritual recovery and self-awareness.

Evidence-based treatment is utilized in addition to psychoeducation to help clients develop life and relapse prevention skills. One-on-one sessions and family therapy help clients to work more intensively on the deeper issues that contribute to their addiction. All therapeutic sessions are facilitated by LCSWs, LPCs and CADCs—many of whom are Master’s-level clinicians. Nurses and physicians are also part of the team at SSCC.

Extras

SSBC also connects clients with community resources, including referrals for local sober living facilities. If it becomes apparent that the client needs more intensive treatment, they are referred to a trusted facility under the Pinnacle Treatment Centers umbrella.

In Summary

Suboxone Services of Beaver County provide MAT combined with therapeutic services for adults seeking general outpatient treatment for opiate addiction. Flexible hours and scheduling enable clients to maintain life commitments during the initial phases of recovery. Though some clients may benefit from a more intensive treatment program, Beaver County’s services are affordable and evidence based—and also include support for dual diagnoses as well as family counseling.
