The Basics
Just off of the shoreline of the Ohio river, the Evansville Comprehensive Treatment Center provides outpatient chemical dependency treatment to the Evansville, Illinois community. Services are tailored for adults who are struggling with opioid addiction. The facility is CARF-accredited and provides both medication and therapeutic modalities to treat clients physically, mentally and emotionally.
As a member of the Acadia Healthcare network, Evansville Comprehensive Treatment Center is just one of many behavioral health facilities providing chemical dependency and therapeutic support. With its headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, Acadia serves communities across the country and in the UK with residential, outpatient and school-based treatment programs.
Treatment and Staff
Evansville CTC specializes in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) methods to help the clients safely and comfortably detox with minimized symptoms. Prior to admittance, all clients are screened by intake staff and health and acuity of dependence are taken into account before prescribing the client one of four available medications: Suboxone, methadone, Subutex and Vivitrol are available under the supervision of the medical staff. Physicians and nurses oversee clients to watch for medication reactions and complications, and dosage may be adjusted at any point. Once the client stabilizes on their medication, they are encouraged to attend therapeutic activities in tandem with dosing. Dosing hours are between 4:30 am and 12 pm during the week, from 6 to 10 am on Saturdays and from 7 to 9 am on Sundays.
Following dosing, on-site group and individual sessions are scheduled. CADCs use evidence-based practices to help each client on an individualized basis. The facility is open seven days a week to help keep treatment options flexible for clients and their work or family schedules. Therapeutic sessions can be attended or scheduled between 4:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Wednesday, Thursdays between 4:30 am and 3 pm and on Fridays between 4:30 am and 1 pm. The clinic is open weekends from 6 to 10 am on Saturdays and on Sundays from 7 to 9 am. If clients are unable to attend during these hours, they are encouraged to attend 12-step meetings to supplement their MAT.
Extras
Evansville CTC is part of a nationwide provider of healthcare and chemical dependency services. While the facilities specialize in MAT, the staff members are knowledgeable and have relationships with local resources. Any and all assistance is given to each client including referrals to housing, social services or more intensive treatment programs.
In Summary
Evansville Comprehensive Treatment Center provides MAT and therapy for individuals struggling with opioid addiction on an outpatient basis. As they recovery physically from their substance abuse, clients are also encouraged to attend therapy with credentialed staff. All clients are monitored by the medical staff to ensure the medication is helping clients progress in their recovery.
