The Basics
Located in Watsontown, Philadelphia, the Watsontown Comprehensive Treatment Center is a CARF-accredited facility providing dynamic care for opioid dependent individuals. All treatment is outpatient based and available for both adult men and women. The facility offers Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) that is tailored to each client’s unique needs in addition to therapeutic activities to help clients heal their minds in tandem with their bodies.
As a member of the Acadia Healthcare network, Watsontown Comprehensive Treatment Center is just one of many behavioral health facilities providing chemical dependency and therapeutic support. With its headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, Acadia serves communities across the country and in the UK with residential, outpatient and school-based treatment programs.
Treatment and Staff
The Watsontown CTC offers focused treatment allowing clients to detox with minimal withdrawal symptoms. Since many clients cannot afford a hospital stay or to take prolonged periods of time off of work, Watsontown CTC offers a flexible treatment schedule.
An individualized treatment approach ensures that each client is able to maintain their responsibilities and schedules. This location only offers methadone, which is prescribed after a sufficient health screening has been taken. If approved, the client begins dosing under careful supervision. Adjustments may be made by a physician if needed.
In addition to treating the physical effects of addiction, the facility supports the mental and emotional recovery of clients. Therapeutic interventions facilitated by CADCs are encouraged so clients can properly heal and find meaningful recovery. Group and individual therapy are available following dosing hours during the day and on weekends. Counselors utilize evidence-based practices during activities so that clients are provided education and facts about their addiction and how to utilize relapse prevention skills.
Extras
Treatment staff and medical staff are resourceful and connected in the community. If clients cannot attend treatment groups, they are encouraged to seek 12-step meetings in the local area and referrals for more intensive treatment programs and public assistance are available upon request.
In Summary
Watsontown Comprehensive Treatment Center provides informed treatment that is sensitive to each client’s unique needs and life schedules. Methadone is prescribed for clients and monitored closely by the medical staff. Therapeutic interventions are led by mental health professionals who understand the specific concerns with addiction medicine. Watsontown CTC provides a stable and safe space for clients to begin their recovery process.
