The Basics

Residents stay in rooms with basic furnishings and generally share quarters with one other client in gender-separate wings. The program includes three meals a day, prepared by the on-site chef, as well as snacks.

Treatment and Staff 

After an initial intake and assessment, clients work with staff members to develop an individualized treatment plan. Programs consist of individual and group therapy that uses evidence-based methods, such as CBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as 12-step concepts. Groups implement psychoeducation, anger management, trauma-informed care, coping skills and co-occurring disorders. Family therapy is also a required component of the program and during treatment, clients keep up on their school work through on-site tutors.

The staff at Ridgeview Teen Residential Treatment Center includes LCSWs, LPCs, MDs, psychiatrists, CADCs and additional Master’s-level clinicians. 

Extras

Aside from the above, the facility also has a ROPES Course.

Clients in need of less intensive care can attend one of Pyramid’s outpatient programs, which feature much of the same modalities but with added flexibility. Those who complete primary care can also continue with stepped-down outpatient therapy as a form of aftercare.
