The Basics
The Colton Comprehensive Treatment Center is a CARF-accredited treatment facility specializing in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Located in the Inland Empire of Southern California, CCTC provides outpatient care that combines MAT with therapy for adult clients who are in need of treatment for opioid addiction. All clients are treated on an individualized basis to ensure they undergo a safe detox process and receive the treatment they need.
As a member of the Acadia Healthcare network, Colton Comprehensive Treatment Center is just one of many behavioral health facilities providing chemical dependency and therapeutic support. With its headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, Acadia serves communities across the country and in the UK with inpatient, outpatient and school-based treatment programs.
Treatment and Staff
CCTC provides clients with an individualized treatment approach dependent on the results of a comprehensive assessment performed by the treatment staff and medical team. The assessment also determines the type of medication the client will be placed on: Subutex, Suboxone, Vivitrol or Methadone. Dosage hours are from 5 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Weekend dosing hours are from 7 to 10 am. During these hours, clients receive their dosage and attend therapy.
Clients attend both group and individual therapy which incorporate evidence-based practices. Attending the groups is strongly encouraged so that clients can learn the fundamental reasons behind their substance abuse and addiction. Clients are given the opportunity to process complex emotions in a safe space supported by their peers and work on-on-one with credentialed staff for more private topics.
Clients who are unable to attend groups due to outside personal obligations are encouraged to attend 12-step meetings in the community.
All groups and individual sessions are facilitated by CADCs. Groups are typically led by one staff member, but larger groups may be led by two counselors. MAT dosing adjustments and management is overseen by nurses and physicians who have experience working with addiction medicine.
Extras
All counselors and medical staff are qualified to refer clients out to community resources for vocational assistance, housing and help with childcare if needed.
In Summary
Colton Comprehensive Treatment Center is an outpatient MAT facility for adults that also provides traditional therapeutic services, treating the body and mind of those suffering from opioid addiction. Though treatment hours are somewhat limited, each client is treated as an individual and is prescribed medication according to their current state of health and addiction. With an experienced medical and mental health staff, CCTC is able to guide their clients towards lasting recovery.
