The Basics

Based out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, New Passages, Inc. is an outpatient treatment program for addiction, mood disorders, eating disorders, trauma and other mental and behavioral health related issues. Building from a foundation of self worth and life experiences, the programs at New Passages are designed to help clients develop the tools they need for emotional, physical, social and spiritual balance. New Passages treats clients of all ages.

Treatment and Staff

All programs are individualized and tailored to each client’s needs. For this reason, there is no fixed duration of care however each track incorporates group and individual counseling using evidence-based methods like CBT, EMDR and behavioral modification. Play therapy is also available for both young people and adults, as is hypnotherapy. Each program is designed to be solution-oriented and is also informed by the family systems model with support for co-occurring disorders provided.

Staff includes LCSWs, LPCs, CACs, psychologists, CSWs and Master’s-level counselors.

Extras

In addition to the above, couples and family therapy are also available on an as-needed basis. Though there is no official aftercare program at New Passages, clients can step down the pace of their program as they progress in their recovery, gearing later sessions towards relapse prevention strategies.

New Passages, Inc. also offers brainspotting, a neuro-physiological treatment method that tracks trauma through eye movement.
