The Basics
Pinnacle Treatment Centers are substance abuse treatment facilities that provide inpatient and outpatient programs as well as Suboxone treatment for those struggling with symptoms of opiate withdrawal.
Founded in 2006, PTC began with four locations in Pennsylvania, but has since grown into a national network of 29 facilities, with additional branches in New Jersey, Kentucky, Virginia and Michigan. The outpatient programs at PTC vary slightly, but all offer two-tracks and integrate the 12 steps.
Treatment and Staff
Clients requiring Medication- Assisted Treatment (MAT) may opt to enroll in either the Suboxone or Methadone treatment programs. A detox facility is also available and is recommended for most clients prior to beginning treatment. PTC offers both an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) consisting of nine hours of treatment per week and a regular outpatient program, which only consists of one to two hours of treatment per week. Treatment is highly individualized to meet the needs of each client with a variety of different treatment options.
Clients can attend psycho-educational lectures about the disease of addiction and relapse prevention. There is also CBT-based individual and group therapy as well as family counseling sessions. Both tracks strongly encourage involvement with the 12-steps and all PTC facilities are associated with community AA/NA meetings.
The staff at PTC consists of LPCs, LADCs, CADCs and MFTs.
Extras
PTC also provides services and special programming for those who are court-mandated to receive treatment due to DUI offenses and the facilities are all in close contact with and share resources with local drug courts. Regardless of the reason for treatment, all clients also receive aftercare arrangements and assistance with transitioning back into everyday life. There are also couples, marital and family counseling options for those seeking to strengthen their relationships and support networks.
In addition to their comprehensive outpatient program, PTC also offers transitional living environments and a residential treatment program (Endeavor House). The residential and transitional living environments require that residents are in a 12-step program and abide by house rules.
In Summary
The outpatient program at PTC offers two tracks of varying intensity for individuals seeking outpatient substance abuse treatment. Both the IOP and the regular outpatient program are individualized and integrate both evidence-based practices and the 12-steps into treatment to provide a well-rounded foundation for recovery and lasting sobriety.
