The Basics

Grace Harbour, Inc. is a CARF-accredited private outpatient mental health practice with locations throughout Georgia. Clients of all ages are welcome at these facilities to address issues such as substance abuse, depression, grief, behavioral problems, abuse, anxiety, anger management and stress. Two locations offer substance abuse and support for co-occurring disorders, namely Peachtree City and Newnan, Georgia. Treatment is accomplished through individual counseling, which includes evidence-based therapies.

Treatment and Staff

Before beginning treatment at Grace Harbor, clients must first come in for an initial evaluation. The facility’s focus on individual therapy means clients receive plenty of personal attention. The organization uses evidence-based therapies including CBT and DBT to treat addiction. Typically, these sessions are each an hour long and are conducted on a weekly basis.

For those dealing with mental health issues, a psychiatrist is available for assessments and medication management. When it comes to working through trauma, clients are able to see an EMDR specialist. Aside from individualized treatment mentioned above, participants can also come in for family or couples therapy. These sessions are designed to teach clients and their loved ones how to communicate, set healthy boundaries and learn more about the recovery process. The staff consists of Master’s-level therapists, professional counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists and interns.

Extras

Aside from the more basic modalities offered, Grace Harbour also has a range of methods available including Thinking for a Change lessons, Seven Challenges for adolescents, aggression replacement training and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT). Assessments are available for domestic violence, anger management and ADHD as well.

In Summary

In all, Grace Harbour, Inc. offers basic substance abuse treatment rooted in evidence-based techniques. Though the approach is entirely individual, clients can still process their emotions and learn new coping skills through the benefits of one-on-one attention. Overall, this is a great facility for those looking for low intensity treatment.
